In addition to working in the state Senate as a writer and researcher, this multi-tasking mother of four has written extensively for health and public affairs magazines, including Body and Mind, Transactions, Central Penn Parent, at Home, In Central PA, Harrisburg and Lifelines. Students at Elizabethtown College and Penn State Harrisburg have benefited from her instruction in Managerial Communications and her one-on-one writing and editing skills. Her articles have frequently been chosen as the magazine's attention-grabbing cover story, and her work has headlined countless advertising campaigns.
The rapid-response press releases she has composed in the aftermath of natural disasters, political controversies, and feel-good moments have attracted positive national exposure in the New York Times, The Philadelphia Inquirer and ABC National News. Diane also has extensive experience in writing speeches for government officials and business leaders.
Diane is an avid volunteer for organizations that include the Gift of Life Organ Donor Program, St. Catherine Laboure Church and School, UCP of Central PA, the Dauphin County Emergency Management Agency, and other life-changing organizations. She has received the YWCA Woman of Excellence Award and the American Trauma Society's Public Servant of the Year Award.
